Abstract: This article mainly discusses the application and research status of digital signal processing technology in image processing. Firstly, the definition and basic concepts of digital signal processing and image processing were introduced, as well as the role of digital signal processing in image processing. Then, the application of digital signal processing technology in image processing was introduced in detail, including image filtering and denoising technology, image enhancement and feature extraction, transformation and compression in image processing, etc. Subsequently, the application and development trends of digital signal processing in fields such as medical image processing, computer vision, image recognition, and artificial intelligence were explored. Finally, the main content and conclusion of this article are summarized, and it is pointed out that digital signal processing technology has broad application prospects and development space in image processing. The research in this article indicates that digital signal processing technology plays an important role and application value in image processing, providing more accurate and fast processing methods and technical support for fields such as medical diagnosis, computer vision, and image recognition. At the same time, there are still many issues that need further research and exploration in the field of digital signal processing, such as how to improve the real-time and accuracy of image processing, and how to better apply artificial intelligence technologies such as deep learning.
