Abstract: This article first introduces the development history and basic principles of Bluetooth communication protocol, elaborates on its applications in smart homes, smart wearable devices, and intelligent health monitoring, and analyzes its performance and optimization methods. The Bluetooth communication protocol has the advantages of low power consumption, high speed, and safety and reliability, and has broad application prospects in the field of the Internet of Things. In smart homes, Bluetooth technology can achieve wireless communication and control, improving the intelligence and convenience of home devices. In intelligent wearable devices, Bluetooth technology can achieve fast connection and data transmission between devices, improving user experience. In intelligent health monitoring, Bluetooth technology can achieve real-time monitoring and transmission of human physiological information, providing more accurate and timely data support for healthcare. This article analyzes the performance and optimization methods of Bluetooth communication protocol from the aspects of communication distance, transmission rate, network topology, and interconnectivity, and proposes corresponding optimization plans. For example, using higher-level Bluetooth protocols can improve transmission rate and communication distance; Optimizing network topology can improve interconnectivity and stability; Adopting low-power design can extend the service life of the device.
