Abstract
In this paper, "Analysis of the influence of river regulation projects on hydrological characteristics" is discussed in depth, aiming to reveal how river regulation activities change the natural state of rivers and then affect their hydrological characteristics, including water level, discharge, velocity, water quality and sediment transport. With the acceleration of urbanization and the development of economy and society, river regulation project has become an important means to improve river environment, increase flood control capacity and promote rational utilization of water resources. However, while these projects bring many benefits, they also have a significant impact on the hydrological characteristics of the river. This paper first analyzes the main types and ob jectives of river regulation projects, including river dredging, bank slope protection, levee strengthening, ecological restoration, etc., and expounds the direct effects of these projects on river forms, flow conditions and ecological environment. Then, this paper discusses in detail the influence of river regulation project on hydrological characteristics. In terms of water level, the regulation project may affect the rise and fall of river level by changing the section shape of river channel and adjusting the flow path. In terms of flow, engineering measures may increase or decrease the flow capacity of river channels, and then change the temporal and spatial distribution of river flow. In terms of flow velocity, the renovation project will change the hydrodynamic conditions and affect the size and distribution of flow velocity. In terms of water quality, the pollution control and ecological restoration measures during the implementation of the project have positive effects on the improvement of river water quality. In terms of sediment transport, the regulation project may change the erosion and sedimentation process of the river, and affect the sediment transport path and sedimentation mode. This paper analyzes the complexity and uncertainty of the influence of river regulation projects on hydrological characteristics. Since river system is a highly complex natural complex, the influence of river regulation project on its hydrological characteristics often involves the interaction of multiple factors, multiple processes and multiple time scales. Therefore, when evaluating the effect of river regulation project, it is necessary to consider many factors comprehensively and use scientific methods and technical means to carry out in-depth research. This paper puts forward some suggestions to strengthen the assessment and monitoring of hydrological characteristics of river regulation projects. Through establishing a sound monitoring network, carrying out long-term tracking observation, strengthening scientific research and technological innovation and other measures, we can understand the impact of river regulation projects on hydrological characteristics more comprehensively and accurately, and provide strong support for formulating scientific and reasonable river regulation plans.
