Firstly, the article elaborates on the research background and significance in the introduction section, pointing out that "To Live", as a classic work of contemporary literature, presents the individual's survival status and tragic fate under social changes through delicate brushstrokes, which is of great significance for understanding human nature and reflecting on society. Subsequently, the research ob jectives, methods, and current research status both domestically and internationally were introduced, laying the foundation for subsequent analysis. Chapter 2 analyzes the historical background, social environment, and narrative structure of "To Live" through the introduction of the work, revealing the unique style characteristics, ideological connotations, and philosophical reflections of the work. Chapter Three delves into the tragedy of human nature in the work, including its presentation form, causes, significance, and transcendence. It points out that the oppression of social and historical background and the weakness of human nature jointly weave the tragic fate of the protagonist, and the tragedy itself is a carrier of profound revelation and criticism of human nature, prompting readers to reflect on social reality and seek the power to transcend suffering.
