Abstract
With the rapid development of information technology, computer network has become an indispensable infrastructure in modern society, and the problem of network security has become increasingly prominent. The design and application of network security risk assessment and management tools are of great significance to ensure the safe and stable operation of network systems. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the design principle, key functions and effects of these tools in practical application, so as to provide useful reference for improving the ability of network security protection. When it comes to tool design, we focus on comprehensiveness and flexibility. First of all, through in-depth analysis of the structure and characteristics of the network system, identify potential security risk points, such as vulnerabilities, malware, illegal access, etc. Secondly, based on the risk assessment model, the identified risks are evaluated quantitatively and qualitatively to determine the extent and scope of harm it may cause. Finally, combined with network security standards and best practices, targeted security policies and protective measures are designed to form a complete set of risk management programs. Key functions of management tools include risk monitoring, early warning, response and reporting. By monitoring the running status and security events of the network system in real time, the tool can detect potential security risks in time, trigger an early warning mechanism, and remind the administrator to take appropriate measures.
