Abstract
As one of the core technologies in the field of artificial intelligence, computer vision is playing an increasingly important role in intelligent transportation systems. With the acceleration of the urbanization process and the continuous increase of car ownership, traffic congestion, frequent accidents and other problems become increasingly prominent, intelligent transportation system came into being, aiming to improve the intelligent level of traffic management through advanced technical means. The application of computer vision technology provides powerful data acquisition and analysis ability for intelligent transportation system, and effectively promotes the optimization and upgrading of traffic management. This paper discusses the design and application of computer vision in intelligent transportation system. Firstly, the demand of computer vision technology for intelligent transportation system is analyzed, including vehicle detection, pedestrian recognition, traffic flow analysis and so on. On this basis, the relevant algorithms and models of computer vision technology, such as convolutional neural network and deep learning, are studied, and how to apply these technologies to intelligent transportation system is discussed. In the design of intelligent transportation system, this study focuses on the construction of system architecture and the division of functional modules. By building an efficient data processing and analysis platform, multi-dimensional perception and understanding of traffic scenes are realized. At the same time, combined with practical application scenarios, functional modules such as vehicle tracking, traffic incident detection, and violation behavior identification are designed to enhance the practicality and effectiveness of the intelligent transportation system.
