Research on the imbalance of teacher-student ratio in preschool education and its countermeasures

Abstract: Preschool education is an important starting point for children's education, and its quality is directly related to children's physical and mental development and future learning ability. However, the current imbalance of teacher-student ratio in the field of preschool education has become a key factor restricting the quality of preschool education. This paper aims to deeply analyze the causes of the imbalance of teacher-student ratio in preschool education, explore its possible negative impact, and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, in order to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the healthy development of preschool education in China. The study found that the main reasons for the imbalance of teacher-student ratio in preschool education include uneven distribution of educational resources, lagging construction of teachers and insufficient policy guidance. This imbalance not only affects the teacher's teaching effect, but also limits the possibility of children's personalized development, and may even have an adverse effect on children's mental health. In addition, the high teacher-student ratio may also increase safety risks and pose challenges to the daily management of kindergartens. In order to deal with this problem, this paper puts forward a series of countermeasures and suggestions. First of all, the government should increase the investment in preschool education, optimize the allocation of educational resources, and ensure that kindergartens have enough teachers and suitable teaching environment. Secondly, strengthen the construction of teachers, improve their professional quality and teaching ability, and attract more outstanding talents to join the cause of preschool education. In addition, relevant policies should be improved to provide more policy support and institutional guarantees for preschool education. In terms of specific implementation, we can consider attracting more teachers to enter the field of preschool education by increasing the number of staff and improving the salary of teachers. At the same time, strengthen the training and education of teachers, improve the teaching level of teachers; In addition, it can also promote home co-parenting, encourage parents to participate in preschool education, and form a joint educational force. This study is of great significance for promoting the balance of teacher-student ratio and improving the quality of preschool education. In the future, we should continue to strengthen the research and practice in the field of preschool education, explore more effective countermeasures and measures, and create a better educational environment for the all-round development of children.
