This article starts from the classic literary work "The Drunken Weng Pavilion" and delves into Ouyang Xiu's landscape sentiment and reclusive thoughts. Ouyang Xiu, a literary giant during the Northern Song Dynasty, wrote not only a beautiful travelogue of mountains and rivers, but also a true portrayal of his inner world. The article first provides an overview of Ouyang Xiu's life and the creative background of "The Drunken Weng Pavilion", pointing out that the work was created during his exile to Chuzhou, in order to express his inner emotions and aspirations. Furthermore, this article provides a detailed analysis of Ouyang Xiu's landscape sentiment in "The Drunken Weng Pavilion" from four aspects: his love and admiration for natural beauty, his leisurely and carefree nature, his ex pression of emotions through mountains and rivers, and his concept of harmonious coexistence with nature. These sentiments not only reflect Ouyang Xiu's profound feelings for nature, but also reveal his attitude towards pursuing spiritual freedom and transcending the secular world. This article also analyzes the manifestation of the reclusive ideology in "The Drunken Weng Pavilion" from four aspects: the desire to express emotions towards the mountains and waters, to stay away from the hustle and bustle, to forget worries through drinking, to pursue spiritual freedom, to enjoy the people, to be indifferent to fame and fortune, and to subtly express the emotions of political disappointment and inner distress. These reclusive thoughts reflect Ouyang Xiu's journey of seeking spiritual comfort and spiritual sustenance after political disappointment. This article explores the influence of Ouyang Xiu's emotions on future generations, including leading literary innovation and creative styles, promoting the development of prose genres, shaping models of moral cultivation, and influencing calligraphy art. Ouyang Xiu's "The Drunken Weng Pavilion" not only expresses his personal emotions, but also has a profound impact on later literary creation and aesthetic concepts, becoming a classic work in the history of Chinese literature. Through the analysis of this article, we can gain a deeper understanding of Ouyang Xiu's landscape sentiment and reclusive thoughts, as well as his important position and influence in literary history.
