Abstract
This paper aims to explore effective strategies for developing regional games in kindergartens, and analyze their importance and current challenges. Firstly, the definition and characteristics of regional games were defined, and the important role of regional games as a form of play centered on young children, emphasizing individual differences and autonomy, in promoting their comprehensive development, cultivating autonomy and independence, and enhancing social communication abilities was clarified. This paper explores the theoretical basis of regional games, including child development theory, game theory, etc. These theories provide scientific guidance for the effective development of regional games. Supported by theory, this paper further analyzes the importance of developing regional games in kindergartens and emphasizes their positive impact on the physical and mental development of young children. In terms of enhancing environmental support, this paper suggests optimizing the layout of game spaces and creating game environments that are in line with the developmental characteristics of young children; In terms of optimizing teaching aids and materials, emphasis is placed on selecting suitable teaching aids and materials based on the needs and interests of young children, and regularly updating and supplementing them; In terms of improving the guidance ability of teachers, it is recommended to strengthen their professional training and improve their observation ability and guidance skills; In terms of improving children's participation, emphasis is placed on designing interesting game content to stimulate their interest in games.
