Abstract
Image processing is a very important direction in the fields of computer science and information technology. In image processing, fractal theory is an important method. Fractal theory can help us understand complex natural things such as clouds, mountains, coastlines, etc., and can also be used to process images. In this paper, we will introduce image processing algorithms based on fractal theory, including fractal image compression algorithms, fractal texture synthesis algorithms, and fractal image reconstruction algorithms, as well as their applications in image processing. We will discuss in detail the concept, history, fractal dimensions, fractal features, and the importance of fractal in various application fields. We will also introduce the implementation principles of fractal image compression algorithm, fractal texture synthesis algorithm and fractal image reconstruction algorithm, as well as their applications in image compression, image texture generation and inpainting.
