Abstract
With the continuous development of Internet of Things technology, wireless sensor networks have been widely used. In wireless sensor networks, ad hoc network technology is widely used to improve network communication efficiency and save energy. This article will start with the definition, characteristics, and classification of ad hoc network technology, and analyze the commonly used protocol technologies and routing algorithms in ad hoc networks. Then, it focuses on the system architecture, ad hoc network communication mechanism and ad hoc network routing algorithm in wireless sensor networks. Finally, the application of ad hoc network technology in wireless sensor networks is discussed in the fields of environmental monitoring, intelligent transportation system and medical health monitoring. Through the detailed introduction of this article, readers can understand the development status and application prospects of ad hoc network technology in wireless sensor networks, as well as its important role in the future Internet of Things technology.
