Abstract
  In the context of the converged media era, local television stations are confronted with dual challenges of reshaping their communication landscape and catering to the diversified demands of audiences. How to achieve localized innovation in program direction has become an urgent issue to address. This study focuses on the program directors of local television stations, employing a combination of literature analysis, case studies, and in-depth interviews to explore feasible paths for localization under the converged media environment. The findings indicate that local television stations should fully leverage regional cultural resources to strengthen the uniqueness and differentiation of content production. Meanwhile, by utilizing big data technologies, they can accurately grasp audience needs and optimize the planning and production processes of programs. Additionally, constructing a cross-platform dissemination matrix to enhance program influence and coverage is identified as a critical strategy for sustainable development. This research innovatively proposes a "culture + technology" dual-driven model, providing theoretical support and practical guidance for program directors at local television stations. It holds significant reference value for promoting localized development within the fr amework of media convergence. The research not only enriches the theoretical fr amework of local media transformation in the converged media era but also offers actionable pathways for industry practice.
