Exploration of Blockchain Technology Applications in Cybersecurity

Abstract

With the rapid development of information technology, cybersecurity issues have become increasingly prominent, and traditional security mechanisms face numerous challenges in terms of data integrity, privacy protection, and decentralized management. Blockchain technology, with its core features such as distributed ledgers, smart contracts, and cryptographic algorithms, offers novel solutions to address these challenges in the field of cybersecurity. This study aims to explore the application potential of blockchain technology in cybersecurity and proposes a comprehensive security fr amework based on blockchain to address the limitations of existing systems. By employing a combination of literature analysis and case studies, this research systematically examines the key characteristics and application scenarios of blockchain technology while designing and validating a decentralized identity authentication model and data protection mechanism. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed fr amework significantly enhances the system's resilience against attacks, reduces the risk of single-point failures, and effectively safeguards user privacy. Moreover, this study innovatively integrates smart contracts into access control processes, enabling dynamic permission management and automated auditing functions, thereby improving the system's flexibility and scalability. The primary contribution of this research is the development of a blockchain-based security architecture that combines theoretical guidance with practical feasibility, providing new approaches to solving complex problems in contemporary cybersecurity. The findings not only facilitate the practical implementation of blockchain technology but also lay an important foundation for the future development of cybersecurity technologies.
