Abstract: This article mainly explores the relevant research on software defined wireless communication networks. Firstly, it introduces the research background and significance, as well as the research purpose and content. Secondly, the basic knowledge of wireless communication networks was introduced, including definition, composition, overview of wireless communication technology and standards, as well as the principles and characteristics of Software Defined Networks (SDNs). Once again, the software defined wireless communication network protocol design was explored, including the design and optimization of wireless data plane protocol, control plane protocol, and network management protocol. Next, the software defined implementation of wireless communication network functions was introduced, including flexible network configuration and resource management, dynamic network slicing and service isolation, as well as intelligent network optimization and performance improvement. Finally, the main content and contributions of this article are summarized. This article provides new ideas and methods for the development of future wireless communication networks through in-depth research on software defined wireless communication network related technologies. Meanwhile, the research results of this article are of great significance for improving the performance, flexibility, and scalability of wireless communication networks, and will contribute to the further development of wireless communication networks.
